3 Reasons to Buy the New 2022 Subaru Outback

Subaru Outback

Subaru sold over 100,000 Outbacks every year since 2011. These consistent sales are the result of a well-designed and functional station wagon.

But what makes it stand out? Why should you buy one over other station wagons on the market?

Below are 3 reasons why the 2022 Subaru Outback is the right choice for you.

1. Plenty of Safety Features

The 2022 Subaru Outback comes packed with a number of standard safety features such as:

  • Rearview camera
  • Adaptive pivoting headlights
  • Automatic high beams
  • Rear seat reminder

These are all common on most modern cars, but the Outback stands out with the inclusion of Subaru EyeSight.

EyeSight is a technology that Subaru has developed to increase the safety of their vehicles. Using dual cameras, the system is able to monitor the road for unexpected dangers.

It has a number of advanced features such as adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking/throttle management, lane departure warning, and lane-keep assist.

Having a vehicle with EyeSight is like driving with an extra set of eyes on the road.

2. Interior Comfort

The 2022 Subaru Outback has a considerable amount of space inside. There is plenty of legroom and headroom in both the front and back, and the seats are comfortable even after a few hours on the road.

As standard, the upholstery is cloth, but genuine and synthetic leather are both optional. Heated and ventilated seats, as well as a heated steering wheel, are also available if desired.

Behind the rear seats is 32.5 cubic feet of cargo space. This goes up to 75.5 cubic feet when the back seats are folded down. This is slightly more than the Subaru Forester, which has 28.9 and 74.2 cubic feet, and it’s significantly more than the Subaru Crosstrek, which has 20.8 and 55.3 cubic feet.

3. Model Options

There are eight trims in total to choose from. The 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness is a trim that was not available for the 2021 Subaru Outback.

The Wilderness model stands out due to the inclusion of a turbocharged engine. This is also present in the three XT trims (Onyx Edition XT, Limited XT, and Touring XT).

If you’re in need of something that will be towing a trailer or routinely carrying a full car, then you’ll probably want to opt for one of these models.

The Wilderness model also has a raised suspension as well as all-terrain tires, making it the best model for driving off-road.

The remaining four trims are base, Premium, Limited, and Touring. All of the models aside from the base come with a number of extra features:

  • Larger touch screen
  • Power-adjustable seats
  • Heated seats
  • Navigation
  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Powered liftgate

All of the standard safety features are included in every trim, as well as all-wheel drive.
